Red Star Order

A Soviet honorary decoration created in 1930 to commemorate “outstanding achievements in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union, both in times of war and of peace.” During World War II, the Red Star Order was one of the most widely bestowed, with more than two million people decorated. It was 22nd in the ranking order of Soviet decorations.
